Update API

Public read-only interface used by OpenDeskOS (OpenDesk Updater) and by opendesk.docteam.be. UTF-8 JSON responses, open CORS. Common lang parameter (fr by default, en…).

API v2 — full catalog

Request	Description
`GET /api/v2/components?lang=fr&channel=stable`	All components (system, apps, themes, projects): translated name and description, `available` = version present in the APT repository, `latest` = latest published version in the channel.
`GET /api/v2/components/{id}?lang=fr`	One component and the history of its published versions (`releases`, newest first). Optional `channel`.
`GET /api/v2/updates?channel=stable&lang=fr&installed=…&os_version=…`	Updates for installed packages: `installed=package=version,…` (URL-encoded), optional `os_version` (`VERSION_ID`). The `beta` channel includes stable versions. Returns `updates`, `os` and the `apt` repository settings.

API v1 — system only (compatibility)

Request	Description
`GET /api/latest?channel=stable&current=1.0`	Latest system version in the channel (`stable` or `beta`). With `current`, tells `update_available`. Add `&format=env` for shell-friendly `KEY=value` output.
`GET /api/releases[?channel=…]`	All published system versions, newest first.
`GET /api/releases/{version}`	Details of one system version (notes, ISO, SHA-256, translations).
`GET /api/ping`	Returns `ok`. Connection test for the installer.

Versions are compared the way dpkg does. An update is only announced once the version can be installed from the APT repository.

APT repository

OpenDeskOS packages are published in a signed APT repository. On OpenDeskOS, it is configured by the opendeskos-archive-keyring package.
